Eric Swanson comes from a family of dedicated law enforcements who works for the county of Los Santos. He grow up in the suburbs of Market, where ilegal activies were associateded to the afro-american gangs of the areas such the Front Yard Ballas or the Seville Boulevard Families.
His dad, Robert Swanson, was a former employee of the Sheriff's Department at the Palomino Creek Sheriff's Station, where he worked as a volunteer before going to the Sheriff's Academy, after completing the academy, Robert starts his professional career at the North County Correctional Center where he worked as a Custody Deputy before going to Patrol School and get assigned to the Carson Sheriff's Station.
Eric's dad formed his team work mentality and the love to serve to the community where he lives. After completing High School he decided to go to college and study Criminal Justice, at the college he keeps looking at his dad like a mentor and a role model.
Also, during college, Eric keep training physically, but also mentally - developing a teamwork mentality, but also trust in other people who's working with him. During this pass of time Eric also spends most of his time searching info about the Department's history and career opportunities, looking for the best step to make during his stances in the Department.
Right after completed the college and graduated, Eric decided apply to the Sheriff's Academy and begin his LEO career inside the LSSD while looking for begin a career inside the Gang Unit within the County Jail or a Patrol Station. This decision came while being at the college, remembering his past at Market, where gang related crimes was a part of his community, influenced by his life, and his dad mentoring, he believes that could make an positive impact on his community while working there.
